Nuôi tôm thẻ chân trắng trong nước có độ mặn thấp đang là xu thế phát triển ngành tôm trên toàn thế giới. Báo cáo này nhằm nghiên cứu việc bổ sung khoáng chất vào khẩu phần ăn của tôm để đánh giá sự tăng trưởng và tỉ lệ sống khi tôm được nuôi trong nước có độ mặn thấp.

Khoáng chất rất quan trọng trong dinh dưỡng tôm. Ngoài việc đóng vai trò quan trọng trong việc điều hòa thẩm thấu và lột xác thì các ion khoáng cũng là thành phần của nhiều hợp chất sinh học quan trọng như enzyme, hormone… Việc đánh giá các chế độ ăn bổ khoáng chất cho động vật biển bao gồm tôm là rất khó khăn bởi vì nước biển chứa rất nhiều ion hữu cơ có thể hấp thụ được (Gilles và Piqueux, 1983). Tuy nhiên với nuôi tôm trong nước có độ mặn thấp việc thiếu khoáng chất trong nước gây ảnh hưởng nghiêm trọng đến tôm làm tôm mền vỏ khó lột xác, tăng trưởng chậm và thậm chí là tỉ lệ sống thấp.

Nuôi tôm, cá hoặc các loài sinh vật biển ở nước có độ mặn thấp đang là xu hướng phát triển trên toàn thế giới. Tại hầu hết các nước, ứng cử viên chính được chọn để nuôi ở nước có độ mặn thấp là tôm thẻ chân trắng (Lipopenaeus vannamei) – đây là loài sinh vật rộng muối có thể chịu đựng được nước có độ mặn 5 – 45‰. Nghiên cứu này nhằm đánh giá sự bổ sung khoáng chất cho sự tăng trưởng và tỉ lệ sống của L. vannamei trong nước có độ muối thấp.

Nghiên cứu bổ sung khoáng chất cho tôm

Thí nghiệm được tiến hành trong thời gian 7 tuần sử dụng nước giếng khoan với 20 bể nuôi kích thước 60x30x30 cm ở có độ mặn 3‰. 10 con tôm có trọng lượng trung bình ban đầu 0,15 – 0,18 gam được cho vào mỗi bể. Mỗi chế độ ăn được chuẩn bị riêng biệt với các chế độ ăn có bổ sung kali, natri, Magie và 1% vitamine.

Tất cả các thành phần đã được trộn với tỷ lệ cần thiết và Maida (1%) được sử dụng làm chất gắn kết trong thức ăn.

Kết quả:

1. Tổng trọng lượng tăng:

Nghiên cứu chỉ ra rằng bổ sung 5g Kali/kg thức ăn có tổng trọng lượng tăng cao nhất là 3,87 ± 0,07 g trong thời gian thí nghiệm 49 ngày, sau đó là nhóm bổ sung 20g Na/kg thức ăn với tăng trưởng của tôm 3,71 ± 0,08), 10g Na/kg thức ăn (3,70 ± 0,04gm) và 300 mg/kg thức ăn (3,69 ± 0,08 gm) tương ứng.

Tốc độ tăng trưởng của tôm nuôi cao nhất khi bổ sung 150 mg Mg/kg thức ăn là 6,50%, sau đó là 10g Na/kg thức ăn(6,41%), 300mg Magie/kg thức ăn(6,40%), 10g Kali/kg thức ăn (6,28%), 5 g Kali/kg thức ăn (6,26%) và 20g Na/kg thức ăn (6,17%).

Tỷ lệ chuyển đổi thức ăn được quan sát thấy trong giai đoạn thí nghiệm thấp nhất là 3,68 ở chế độ ăn đối chứng không bổ sung khoáng chất.

3. Tỷ lệ sống sót của tôm

Tỷ lệ sống sót trong suốt giai đoạn thí nghiệm thấp nhất ở nhóm không bổ sung (50%) tiếp đến là các nhóm Mg-150 mg, Mg-300 mg, k-5 g, Na-10 g , Na-20g và K-10g. Theo đó nhóm tôm bổ sung 10g Kali/kg thức ăn có tỉ lệ sống sót cao nhất (80,0%).

Tuy nhiên, hiệu quả sử dụng thức ăn và tỷ lệ chuyển đổi thức ăn (FCR) giảm đi cùng với sự gia tăng bổ sung K + từ 5g đến 10g K+/kg. Có thể do mức bổ sung K + cao hơn dẫn tới sự gia tăng độ thẩm thấu và tỷ lệ hô hấp của tôm.

Trong nghiên cứu này, kết quả bổ sung natri cho thấy sự gia tăng tỉ lệ sống sót (80%) với sự gia tăng bổ sung natri từ chế độ ăn 10g/kg đến 20g/kg. Roy và cộng sự, (2007a) được quan sát thấy tỷ lệ sống của tôm L. vannamei tăng từ 81% lên lên 92%.
